IMPORTANT NOTICE - GARRICK PARK AND THE CLUB

13 March 2026

MEMBER NOTICE - 13 MaRCH 2026

To all Cashmere Technical members,

We are aware of the recent reporting regarding the potential sale of land associated with Garrick Park. We know this park is a valued home for our staff, players, families, and volunteers, so we wanted to reach out with a quick update.

While the situation is still evolving, we are working closely with the Woolston Club and Christchurch City Council to explore options that support a positive outcome for community sport. Christchurch City Council currently holds a 10-year lease over the park, and discussions are ongoing regarding the future of the site.

Cashmere Technical has always worked well in partnership with the Woolston Club, Christchurch City Council, and Mainland Football, and we remain committed to continuing those strong relationships as these conversations progress. Our focus is on ensuring the interests of our players and the wider football community are well represented.

Most importantly, we want to reassure our members that Cashmere Technical remains financially strong and stable. Please be assured there is no risk to the club or our programmes, and all activities and competitions will continue exactly as planned. We will continue to keep you informed as things develop.

We appreciate the continued support of our members and the wider community. We look forward to seeing you all at Garrick Park for our Community Day on Sunday 15 March and to an exciting season ahead.
